Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July!  Here are a few ideas for some fun and healthy red, white and blue desserts!

  1.  Layer blueberries, and strawberries with fresh whipped cream.  (or coconut cream for dairy free)
  2.  Make fruit skewers from strawberries, blueberries and bananas.
  3.  Toss a fruit salad containing red, white and blue fruits – strawberries, watermelon, raspberries, blueberries, white melon, apple, pear.

And here’s a red, white and blue workout circuit to start the holiday off right!  Complete 1-4 Rounds of the following circuit depending on time available.  Finish with 10 minutes of sprint intervals.

 

July 4th is a day of celebrating the red, white and blue.  As you celebrate the day with family and friends, picnics, parades and fireworks, take a few moments to look at the flag and remember those who fought, died and defended this great country and the freedoms we enjoy each day.
